Located in Penig, Saxonia, we are a company specializing in the coating and conversion of filmic substrates, speciality papers, and laminates, to Convert them into advanced materials. We can process reels, in thicknesses from 50 micron up to 800 micron.
We deliver our products to the following industries:
- Furniture industry (especially conformable 3D-furniture films, anti-fingerprint)
- Interior decorations (Frames, Windows, Doors, Panels)
- Building / Architecture: ETFE films, anti-graffiti, insulation, block out
- electronics industry (insulation and other specialty coated papers and films)
- Various specialist industrial applications for surface treatment
Reisewitz coats and prints special substrates
Originally founded in 1871, Reisewitz is known worldwide as a specialist coater achieving the highest quality standards. Reliability and service are its hallmark.
We print and coat film and paper substrates which are used in architectural and building applications, in the furniture industry, and in the production of panels (ceiling, wall and flooring), at Reisewitz, we pride ourselves on customer-specific products and developments. We create solutions in close collaboration with our customers, specifically tailored to your requirements.
Paper coating began in 1974. Coated office papers became synonymous with the name Reisewitz. In 1993, it additionally began coating thermoplastic films.
With the takeover by Polyart Group based in France, many new opportunities have opened up. The Polyart Group has built itself into a leading company providing speciality coated papers and films for the graphic industry. Within the Polyart Group structure, Reisewitz GmbH has even a wider spectrum to specialize in printing and coating.

Reisewitz - part of a leading group
Reisewitz is member of the Polyart group, born from the merger of Arjobex and MDV group.
Polyart Group has over 50 years of experience in film manufacturing and speciality coatings. The group consists of 6 manufacturing sites in Europe and the US, 4 R&D sites, and sales offices on 3 continents.
Polyart group has established a CSR corporate policy to measure and lower its environmental and social impact.
Responsible manufacturing
Reisewitz assumes responsability for its impact on the environment, and takes actions to lower these impacts.
In 2022, in agreement with the corporate CSR policy, we have undertaken an independent review of our CSR system.
The annual external assessment of our CSR performance is carried out by EcoVadis. EcoVadis provides an encompassing sustainability rating, that points out our strengths and weaknesses in different areas (environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement). That allows us to directly compare ourselves to other companies and optimize our processes. In this first assessment, Reisewitz got the bronze medal.
